Former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes has officially been named as Real Sociedad’s new manager.
Moyes was sacked by the Red Devils just 10 months into his contract in April after a slew of bad results saw them miss out on the Champions League and ultimately finishing seventh.
Real Sociedad are currently 15th in La Liga with 9 points after 11 games. The Scottish manager replaces Jagoba Arrasate after the side won only two league games so far this season.
Moyes has signed just a one-and-a-half year contract and will be in charge until June 2016. His first game in charge will be away at Deportivo after the international break.
An official statement on the Sociedad website said: “Real Sociedad have reached an agreement with David Moyes to be the first team coach until 30 June 2016.
“Details of the official presentation and his technical team will be published tomorrow morning (Tuesday).”
