Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs believes that David Moyes taking over as the coach at Old Trafford would not make any difference to United’s prospects in the future. He believes the new era under Moyes will continue in the same mould as Sir Alex Ferguson’s.
Moyes begins his coaching career with the Red Devils on Monday.
Giggs said, “First and foremost there are great players here and we have just won the league, so everything is in place for it to carry on. It is a challenge and, as a player, you always want to have challenges.”
The 39-year old Welshman is studying for his UEFA Pro Licence and is presently at FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Turkey as part of his coaching course and to pick up some invaluable and new ideas about coaching.
Giggs added, “Everyone has their own style and everyone picks up slightly different things. Obviously, I’d be stupid not to pick up on the stuff I learnt from Sir Alex.
“I have been playing for 20-odd years and it is a new chapter in my life. It will be like being an apprentice again.”
