New Delhi, Sep 21 (IANS) Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Delhi Dynamos on Wednesday launched its Youth League, starting from October 2.
One of the biggest and oldest leagues in the capital city will kick off its fifth edition under the new name of the Delhi Dynamos Youth League.
It will see participation of around 70 teams from all major football academies and schools across the capital. The teams will be playing for top honours across seven different age categories.
Speaking about the league, Delhi Dynamos FC President Prashant Agarwal said: "The Delhi Dynamos Youth League is the first youth league being organised by Delhi Dynamos FC in partnership with the Delhi Youth League."
"The objective will be the same as all our other grassroots initiatives which is to develop and sustain football at the grassroots level in north India.
"The youth is the foundation towards the future of any sport, and we are looking to build the youth teams of the club, for which the league will be a great platform to scout and develop young players and find talent," he added.
