Real Madrid cruised past Deportiva Minera in the last 32 of the 2024-25 Copa Del Rey on Monday, winning 5-0 away. Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, and Luka Modric all netted apiece while Arda Guler fired a brace as Los Blancos cantered into the next round of the cup.

Just five minutes into the kick-off, a miscommunication among Minera defenders allowed Valverde to fire home and break the deadlock for the Spanish champions. Camavinga chipped in eight minutes later to make it 2-0 upon receiving a lovely ball from Fran Garcia.

In the 28th minute, the visitors found themselves 3-0 up as Arda Guler joined the party. The Turkish midfielder took a couple of touches inside the box before firing a left-footed shot into the bottom corner that took a deflection on his way.

Despite a healthy advantage going into the second half, Carlo Ancelotti's side were in no mood to take their feet off the pedal. Luka Modric fired in a fourth just 10 minutes into the restart. Guler then returned to haunt the hapless Minera with a fifth late on.

Real Madrid will now turn their attention to the Supercopa de Espana later this week as they fly to Saudi Arabia to face Mallorca in the semi-finals.

Real Madrid Player Ratings:

Andriy Lunin - 7

The Real Madrid custodian perhaps had one of his easiest games this season as Minera barely mustered a shot at goal. He might as well have cooked up a barbeque in front of the goal tonight and still come away with a clean sheet.

Lorenzo Aguado - 6.5

Aguado missed a glorious chance to make it 4-0 in just the 39th minute when he failed to connect with an inviting cross from Modric. Defensively, the right-back was hardly tested. With no Minera player posing any danger on his field of the pitch, the Spaniard positioned himself high up most of the time.

Raul Asencio - 7

The youngster produced a few crunch tackles that impeded Minera's movements and expertly regained possession for his side. His passing was top-notch too, completing 98% of it.

Diego Aguado - 6.5

A quieter figure in the squad as the centre-back didn't see much action on his side of the defense, nor made concerted attempts to get involved in any either.

Fran Garcia - 8.5

The 25-year-old had all the time and space to join up their attack, and he did so effectively, adding another layer of threat to Real Madrid's offensive vanguard. Garcia made six crosses and created two big chances in the game too, both of which resulted in goals.

Federico Valverde - 9

Sky's the limit for the in-form Uruguayan, who stepped up to the plate once more with a goal and an assist. He fired Los Blancos in front five minutes into the kick-off. He capitalized on a poor clearance from the hosts, before playing it on for Guler in the 28th minute for their third of the night.

Eduardo Camavinga - 8.5

The Frenchman demonstrated his impressive passing range. He delivered a couple of accurate long balls to ignite an attacking phase while also biting at the heels of Minera players for possession. In fact, he won 13 ground duels, and posed a big threat at their goal too, mustering three shots, including one goal.

Luka Modric - 8.5

Who would say he's 39-years-old? Modric was as graceful as ever, spraying passes effortlessly and picking out his teammates with the precision of a surgical knife. The Croatian maestro completed over 90% of his passes, laid three crosses, and topped it all off with a fine goal in the second half.

Arda Guler - 10

Turkey's rising star was given a chance to shine and grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Full of energy and enthusiasm, Guler was a force to be reckoned with on the flanks. He drove forward on many occasions and linked up superbly with his attacking cohorts. The 19-year-old ended with five key passes and two goals too.

Endrick - 7.5

No goals for Endrick tonight but he was far from disappointing. The young gun never gave Minera a moment's rest, constantly looking for space in between their backline and shooting at every opportunity. He mustered five shots on target, while also laying four key passes, a testament to his creative ability on the night.

Brahim Diaz - 7.5

Diaz, too, had a handful of shots tonight but seemed to run into a stonewall every time. Nonetheless, he assisted Modric for their fourth goal following a lovely one-two with the midfielder.

Substitutes

Dani Ceballos - 7

He got involved right after coming on and created a big chance too.

Lucas Vazquez - 7

The Spaniard helped maintain their dominance by distributing the ball around well.

Chema Andres - 6

He came on to see a few minutes but couldn't really impact the game in any meaningful way.

Kylian Mbappe - 6.5

He wasn't really needed today but was perhaps sent in to get some minutes before the Supercup game.

Vinicius Junior - 6.5

The Brazilian came alongside Mbappe, after being cleared to play despite his red card in their win over Valencia last week in La Liga.
