Diego Costa poised to sign for Chelsea

Diego Costa is now officially a Chelsea Player

Spanish striker in an interview with Goal.com has said that the reason he chose to play for Chelsea was because it was something it was poised to happen.

"Why did I choose to sign for Chelsea? It's something that is about to happen."

"Everything is going in the right direction and if it continues the same way they (Chelsea) will be the team I play for next season," added the Striker.

Atletico Madrid has aid that they will pay Costa's buyback clause worth 40 million euros (£32 million).

"I have always wanted to play in the Premier League," added Costa. "Chelsea is one of the best teams in the world so there are a lot of reasons why I took the decision.

"Every league is different but none is easy. I will have to work hard to adapt to the Premier League style" said the Brazilian born forward.

Costa who was instrumental in Atletico Madrid winning the La-Liga title after 18 years scored 36 times in all competitions which also resulted in Atletico Madrid reaching the finals of Champions League.

Costa will now join his Spanish tem mates Fernando Torres , Cesc Fabregas and Ceser Azpilicueta where the striker will have to fight with Torres for a place in Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up.
