Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin trained on Friday with his teammates, indicating that he may participate in Sunday's match against Valencia in week 28 of La Liga.
The Uruguayan defender, who was replaced 53 minutes into the match against Real Sociedad on Tuesday due to muscle pain and was treated by physiotherapists on Wednesday, has trained normally with his teammates on the return to training on Friday, reports Efe.
With Godin and the Belgian Yannick Carrasco, who had not been available in recent games with a sprained ankle, Atletico coach Diego Simeone has recovered two important parts of his team, with only Portuguese Tiago Mendes and Montenegrin Stefan Savic remaining on the injured list.
Despite the recovery of the Uruguayan, Simeone told reserve team defender Theo Hernandez, brother of first team defender Lucas, to join the training on Friday.
