Dwight Yorke: Man Utd players look like they want to go on holiday

Dwight Yorke is unhappy with the current attitude of the players at Man Utd

Dwight Yorke launched a scathing attack on Manchester United feeling that the players are not performing to the levels that they are capable of this season.

Reports emerged on Monday that United are set to sack manager David Moyes, with the 2-0 defeat to Everton on Sunday having proved to be the final straw for the Glazer family that own the club.

Yorke refused to put all of the blame on Moyes head for the defeat however, believing that the players are letting him down, with their desire to win matches to being questioned by the former United striker.

Yorke told Sky Sports, “I think what I’ve seen is a Man United team that lack the desire to win a football match.

“The boys look like it’s the end of the season and ready to go on holiday. The players have to take responsibility for that as well, you know the manager also.

“The manager is putting out a team that he believes is going to win him a football match, these players have not been able to perform. But the thing what stands out even further, is the fact the desire from the players, they don’t seem to have the desire to win a football match.

“Lots of possession throughout the game, but where is the end product? That’s not the United of old, the pace and power, the thing which Man United used to do to teams, teams are now doing that to Man United.”
