Chelsea star Eden Hazard has officially been charged by The FA following his red-card incident in the Capital One Cup semifinals.
The 22-year old Belgian, who signed for Chelsea over the summer, received a sending off after having allegedly kicked a Swansea ball boy in the 78th minute of the two sides’ second leg match.
The FA are of the opinion that standard punishment that would apply was clearly insufficient, and have charged the player. Hazard has until 6 pm on Tuesday 29 January, 2013 to respond.
The FA are also keen on reminding all clubs and their ball boys on how to act in an appropriate manner.
