Yannick Carrasco reveals why he left Atletico Madrid

Carrasco has revealed that he left Atletico Madrid for Dalian Yifang in the Chinese Super League in order to get regular playing time and secure a place in Belgium's World Cup squad. The 24-year-old had started just eight times until January when he ultimately decided to secure a move to China.

Carrasco told Goal.com, "China is not exactly a league we know, but it's true that at Atletico I did not have too many minutes to play. For me, it was important to have momentum ahead of the World Cup that comes this summer."
