Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is pretty encouraged by the club signings this summer and is pleased to have Stevan Jovetic at the club. Dzeko, 27 is savouring the changes in the side.
The Blues host Newcastle in their Premier League opener on Monday night. Dzeko has had pretty good league seasons with City in last two years, scoring 14 goals in each and is also relishing by challenges ahead.
“We are fully prepared for what is coming,” said Dzeko, as quoted by Sky Sports.
“Day by day, we’re getting better. We’ve made some new signings, who are quality players. We all hope to do better in the Premier League and also the Champions League. We have to do better in Europe this season.” He added.
Dzeko is very excited to see Montenegro forward Jovetic arrive from Fiorentina, and believes they are adapting well together.
Dzeko told news agency Anadolija, “He’s the right reinforcement for our team. He plays close to me, and I’m very happy because of that.
“I believe that we’ll work well together. He already feels at home. It was easy for him to adapt as he has me, Matija (Nastasic) and Aleksandar (Kolarov) here.”
