Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko has attracted Borussia Durtmund’s interest. The 27-year-old Bosnian has had a career of ups and downs with City and is not a regular starter.
In his 70 Premier League appearances, he has scored 28 goals and has started in only 36 games.
Roberto Mancini has admitted being a fan of the striker but due to lack of match time, Dzeko may be sold in summer and Borussia look as the favourites as Robert Lewandowski looks like he will leave the German champions.
However, Borussia manager denied about any deal agreement.
“There should be little doubt about Edin Dzeko being a top-class striker,” Zorc who is the GM of Borussia told Sport-Bild weekly.
“He is a great forward and a player one should be keen on. However there is also still somewhat of an economic aspect.
“It would be down to pure maths because Edin Dzeko is under contract at Manchester City beyond the end of the season.”
