England only need to pocket a solitary point when they square off against Slovenia to secure a berth in the round of 16 of UEFA Euro 2024. A dismal performance against Denmark last Thursday saw the Three Lions escape with a point while Slovenia settled for a draw with Serbia.
England's complacency and lack of ambition in the attacking half of the pitch could have met harsher punishment at the hands of the Danes a few days ago. However, Gareth Southgate's men somehow managed to get away with turning in a colourless performance which betrayed their collective capability.
But despite the lack of entertainment and excitement, England are almost through to the knockout stages. A win on Tuesday against Slovenia or Denmark settling for anything less than a win against Serbia will see Southgate's men finish top of Group C.
Meanwhile, Slovenia are nursing their heartbreak from an ultimately dispiriting draw against Serbia in midweek. Matjaz Kek's side came painfully close to getting all three points against the Serbs only for Zan Karnicnik's opener to be cancelled out by Luka Jovic in second-half stoppage-time.
Slovenia also held Denmark to a draw in their group-stage opener. As such, they should feel optimistic as they prepare to take on a rather lacklustre England team in their final group-stage game.
They are still very much in the hunt for a place in the knockout stages and anything can happen in Group C on the final matchday.

England vs Slovenia Prediction
England have enough firepower to blow Slovenia to smithereens. But Southgate's conservative approach and inability to get the best out of his talented players could prove to be their downfall. It's still hard to look past them here and England should be able to pick up a victory.
Prediction: England 2-0 Slovenia
