Zurich, July 20 (IANS) Outgoing FIFA president Sepp Blatter on Monday had a bundle of fake banknotes thrown on him by a comedian who gatecrashed his press conference here. English comic artist Simon Brodkin -- also known as Jason Bent as well as Lee Nelson -- walked up to Blatter, placed a huge amount of money in front of him on the table, and said, "This is for North Korea 2026", reports dailymail.co.uk.

Brodkin then turned towards the press to address them as Blatter waved at security to take away the Englishman. Later, he announced he would not stand for another term as FIFA president in the new elections. The security men duly arrived on either side of Brodkin, but before they could remove him he threw a huge bundle of notes into the air, which showered on Blatter.

Brodkin, a renowned comedian, has made his name for gatecrashing popular events and for his pranks played under alter-ego guises. Last year he invaded the stage during a Stereo Kicks' X-Factor performance and tried to join the England players on their flight to the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

As Brodkin was escorted out, Blatter said he would leave the room as it needed to be cleaned.

"This has nothing to do with football," said Blatter, who returned within a few minutes. "I just called my late mother and she said, 'Don't worry, it's just a lack of education'," the Swiss added.
