Story of the match: Setting the tone…
Luis Suarez was on top form yet again and Brendan Rodgers can, finally, see the light at the end of the tunnel. As for Palace, a lot of work needs to be done if they want to stay in the Premier League.
The match that started with a bang, ends with a puff. Liverpool were amazing in the first half, but in the second, they were just happy containing the Palace team. They did not need to take any risks, and that’s exactly what they did. Final scoreline: 3-1.

Story of the match: Class always takes a stand.
Manuel Pellegrini will be delighted with the performance of his team, meanwhile, Roberto Martinez will be bummed about his side’s special run coming to an end.
Everton’s unbeaten start to the Premier League comes to an end as Manchester City score 3 goals past them. Everton had no answer for the home team in the second half, as City were in blazing form. Two goals from Aguero and one from Negredo were more than enough to see off the Toffees, who dropped the momentum in the second half.

Lukaku scored to give Everton the lead that lasted only two minutes. Negredo equalised for Manchester City. Manuel Pellegrini will be a happy man going into half time. However, both teams still have a lot to do in the second half.
