English Premier League: Transfer List

Its been a while since the transfer window opened and all the top flight teams are looking to rejuvenate their squad to pose a challenge for the upcoming season.

Teams scout for talents not only within the country but also worldwide. The Premier league has become a hot spot for foreign players looking to make a name for themselves. Since the EPL is the most followed league around the world, there is no denying that players get attracted to the stardom and the money it has to offer.

Let’s have a look at the players who joined the Premier League teams from Leagues, outside England.

ARSENAL

Gervinho

Gervinho,24, signed for Arsenal from the french side Lille for around £10.5 million.

Gervinho found the net 28 times in 67 appearances for Lille.

Gervinho represents Cote d’Ivoire in National teams and found the net 7 times in 25 appearances for them.

Gervinho can also play on the wings and can become a good signing for Arsenal in the long run.

CHELSEA

Thibaut Courtois

Chelsea signed this young Goalkeeper aged just 19 for an undisclosed fee from Genk.

However, this young lad will have to wait to get Premier League action because Chelsea immediately loaned him out to Atletico Madrid.

Courtois is a Belgium citizen.

FULHAM

Pajtim Kasami

Fulham signed this 19 year old midfielder from the Italian side, Palermo.

The fees is not disclosed.

He is a Macedonia national.

Marcel Gecov

Fulham signed Marcel Gecov, 23 from Slovan Liberec for £ 700,000.

FC Slovan Liberec is a Czech football club and one of the most successful in Czech Republic.

He represents Czech Republic.

LIVERPOOL

Alexander Doni

Doni, 31, has represented various clubs at different levels.

Italian side, Roma being the latest one. Doni’s contract expired in Roma and Liverpool signed him as a free agent.

He can come handy to Liverpool in case of injury or rest time given to Pepe Reina.

Doni is a Brazil national.

MANCHESTER CITY

Stefan Savic

Stefan Savic, 20, joined Manchester City from FK Partizan for £6 million.

A promising young aspect. Plays Centre Back.

Represents Montenegro.

Sergio Aguero

Manchester City signed Sergio Aguero, 23, in a club record deal of £ 38,000,000 from Atletico Madrid.

Bright young Argentine talent, considered modern Diego Maradona.

Aguero found the net 74 times in 175 apperances for Atletico Madrid.

Speculation suggests that Aguero will replace Tevez who wants to leave Manchester City.

Aguero will be one of the men to watch out for in the next season, as everyone are aware of his capability in front of the goal.

MANCHESTER UNITED

David de Gea

Manchester United signed the young spanish Goalkeeper from Atletico Madrid to replace the retiring legend Van der Sar.

De Gea, 20, has established a name for himself with some great performances with Atletico Madrid.

Given the age and potential, this could turn out to be a good signing for Manchester United.

All eyes will be set on him when he makes his debut in the Premier League.

NEWCASTLE UNITED

Sylvain Marveaux

Sylvain, 25, joined Newcastle United as a free agent from the french side Rennes.

It was reported that Liverpool were close to buy the midfielder but he failed the medical and Newcastle eventually signed the player.

He scored 16 goals for Rennes in 102 appearances.

He also represented for France U-21 and is yet to make a debut in the senior side.

Yohan Cabaye

Newcastle signed Yohan Cabaye, 25 from the french side Lille.

Yohan has scored 31 times in 191 appearances for Lille.

Another great midfield addition to the squad for Newcastle.

Cabaye has won 4 caps to represent France.

SWANSEA CITY

Jose Moreira

Swansea City signed Jose Moreira, 29, for an undisclosed fee from Benfica.

Swansea City, the newly promoted team in Premier League wanted an experienced Goalkeeper in the squad and so they decided to sign the Portuguese international.

Let’s wish them luck and success in the Premier League and hopefully they can reach new heights in their career.
