Defenders:
The left back spot is taken by Manchester United’s Luke Shaw (€21m). After missing out on most of the last season due to a horrific injury, the English defender has recovered completely and is back to the playing XI. In the recently concluded Matchday 1 of the Premier League, Luke Shaw won the ball back for his team (11 times) more than any other United player. He will be looking forward to prove his worth in the current season.
The central defence will be paired by Manchester rivals John Stones (€28m) and Eric Bailly (€20m). Despite moving to Manchester City less than a week back, John Stones appeared in the starting XI against Sunderland. It is evident that John Stones will be key to Guardiola’s debut Premier League campaign.

Following a man of the match performance in the Community Shield fixture against Leicester, Bailly made his Premier League debut on Matchday 1. The aggressive defender is also very quick and will come handy in dealing with counterattacks. With the presence of experienced players like Daley Blind and Chris Smalling, it will be interesting to see how Jose Mourinho uses the services of Bailly.
At right back is the youngster from Spain, Hector Bellerin (€18m). The Spanish speedster registered himself as one of the best right-backs in the league after being named into the Premier League PFA Team of the Year 2015-16. With Barcelona and various other clubs showing interest, another successful season with Arsenal will draw humongous offers for the young defender.
