Sergio Aguero and Manchester City will finally get to know if the Argentine striker will be available for the next three games after the international break. The first of which is the highly anticipated Manchester derby. The FA had charged Aguero with violent conduct but gave the Argentine an extra 24 hours to contest their decision. The extra hours were given on account of the transfer deadline day which ended on the 31st of August.
The Manchester City forward was given time until 6pm local time on Thursday to contest the charge that the panel gave to the star striker as they felt that the incident was worthy of a red card. The FA are going to meet today and will take a final decision by evening on the Sergio Aguero case. If the committee feel that City's appeal was frivolous, Aguero may get his ban increased to four games.

City will challenge that referee, Andre Marriner was just a few yards when the unfortunate incident happened. After which, Winston Reid had to be immediately substituted. West Ham captain Mark Noble later said, "I knew he couldn't take. He said he got something in the throat."
If found guilty, Aguero will miss the all important clash against Manchester United and another league game against Bournemouth. He will miss EFL cup tie against Swansea and also may miss the league game against the Swans if the FA increase his ban to four games.

An FA statement read, "Off-field incidents which are not seen at the time by the match officials are referred to a panel of three former elite match officials. Each panel member will review the video footage individually of one another to determine whether they consider it a sending off offence. For retrospective action to be taken, and an FA charge to follow, the decision of the panel must be unanimous. "
Sergio Aguero, who suffered a calf injury in the 88th minute against West Ham United, withdrew from the Argentina squad in their World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Venezuela. Losing him will be a big blow to Pep Guardiola in the coming games. Sergio Aguero has started the season on a high, scoring six goals in his first three appearances including a hattrick against Steaua Bucharest.
