Zlatan Ibrahimovic has showered praise on Manchester United’s 18-year-old sensation Marcus Rashford and has said that the youngster can be his successor in the long run. Rashford has seen a meteoric rise in his short yet impressive career, and his exploits last season earned him a place in the England squad for Euros.
The youngster had also scored in the last Manchester derby, a goal that made the world take notice of the youngster who is a product of the United academy.
Zlatan said, "First of all, he's 18, he's still young. He has a lot of time. I think the way you have to approach a player like that, where everyone is talking about the talent and what he's able to do and what kind of potential he has, is to remember he still has a lot of time. It's not like he needs to take over the world today, the club knows that the coach knows that and the team knows that."

In an interview with Manchester United’s club channel MUTV after the game against Manchester City, Ibrahimovic spoke more about the youngster, "We know his quality and what he's able to do. What the world is seeing now, we already know because we see it every day.”
“There is no need to rush to push him and put him in the heat zone and put a lot of pressure on him because that can have the opposite effect. Time by time, he will take over everything. It's about having patience." he said.
In Rooney and Ibrahimovic, the 18-year-old could not have asked for a better duo to take inspiration from. Rashford was brought on in the second half in the Manchester derby and he brought some much-needed urgency for the Red Devils.
He had a goal ruled offside but had an impressive 45 minutes, although he could not help his side to take anything from the game, as they came out second best in a 2-1 loss to their bitter rivals.

Ibrahimovic said in his interview that he will need more time to get used to playing in England and he continued his praise on Rashford, "I'll help him every day, him and all the others, in any way I can. I'm happy it gives an effect but, even if I was not here, they would still do good."
The 34-year-old continued his rich form in the Premier League by scoring in the derby and the Swede has now scored four goals in four League games for Jose Mourinho's side.
