#2 Rivals in a rebuilding phase
There is a major change in the landscape of English football for this coming season with England’s biggest clubs hiring some of the best managers in the game. José Mourinho has taken over from Louis van Gaal at Manchester United and former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola entrusted with the Manchester City project. Further, former Juventus and Italy manager Antonio Conte has arrived at Chelsea. Each of these managers are serial winners at the clubs they have managed so far.
However, every manager needs sufficient amount of time to establish his identity across the team, for the players to embrace the ideas and for all the consecutive training sessions to transform into results. This gives Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool an edge over the rivals in terms of already having a base established to kick on this season as he has stated during this pre-season.
While the rivals work on getting the combinations and tactics right, Liverpool can have a real go at the title from the outset which gives them a better chance for a title win.
