West Bromwich Albion
Ben Foster: 7/10
The former Manchester United stopper made his share of saves, including brilliant stops to deny both Mkhitaryan and Rashford.
Craig Dawson: 6.5/10
The English international did his part in the West Brom back four and kept the game goalless, although the 26-year-old was beaten for pace by both Ashley Young and Anthony Martial on multiple occasions.
Gareth McAuley: 8/10
The rock in Tony Pulis’ back four, the Northern Irish defender was cool under pressure and produced important clearances for his side to go with his many blocks throughout the game.
Jonny Evans: 7/10
The 29-year-old was as good as his partner was and the definition of good defending. Together they strangled the life out of Manchester United’s attacking flair in the final third.
Nyom: 5/10
The right-back was at his very worst and Jesse Lingard picked him off time after time, beating him left, right and centre. With United attacking the West Brom box constantly, the 28-year-old barely left his post to go forward and threaten the host’s box.
Jake Livermore: 5/10
The midfielder did his best to thwart any United attack, and was a constant presence in the West Brom box, intercepting his fair share of passes.
Daren Fletcher: 6/10
Fletcher did his best to start attacks, passing forward towards the front line but was largely disappointed by the quality of passing and chance creation by the rest of his teammates. The former Manchester United man did unleash a long-range effort which hit the crossbar, West Brom’s only shot on target for the game.
Chris Brunt: 6.5/10
Brunt held the West Brom midfield together as he made his share of tackles, blocks and interceptions, as the Baggies held Manchester United to a goalless draw.
Nacer Chadli: 5/10
The former Spurs man did his very best going forward but was for the most part of the game playing as a left-back, supporting the West Brom back line.
James McClean: 6/10
The Irish man started the game as a right midfielder/winger but was barely playing in that position for most of the match. Instead, he like Nacer Chadli was playing as a right-back supporting the West Brom back four as they withstood a barrage of attacks by Manchester United.
Hal Robson-Kanu: 4/10
The Welshman was out of his depth and barely got a touch of the ball with United largely controlling possession.
Substitutes:
James Morrison: 5/10
The Scot came on for his 300th Premier League appearance for West Brom and did his best to hold the Baggies’ midfield in line against a relentless Manchester United..
Claudio Yacob: 6/10
Yacob came on to give the away side more steel in their back line and the Argentine did exactly that, although he got booked for getting into a battle of heads with Marouane Fellaini, towards the end of the match.
Salomon Rondon: 4/10
The striker came on with a little over twenty minutes left in the game and did his very best to threaten the Manchester United box, but couldn’t do much as he barely got any help from either the midfield or the flanks.
