EPL 2017/18: What's on the shopping list for the teams in January?

Only a few hours left for the opening of the January transfer window and the clubs have started planning their spending. The teams around Europe can start registering new players from January 1st and have a month to complete new signings.With more money coming into the league, this winter transfer window could be one of the biggest ever with managers at both ends of the table drawing up the shortlists as they plan for reinforcements.We have seen some big January transfers in the past and this time around the futures of many players will be decided once the transfer window is opened.Let us take a look at what each Premier League team needs on January.#20 Swansea Sitting at to bottom of the table with just 16 points Swansea needs some serious addition to their team to avoid a drop to the Championship. Swansea has just scored 11 goals in 20 games and needs some help in the attacking half of the pitch.Tammy Abraham and Wilfried Bony are two good strikers to the team who can score some goals, but they have not got much help from the midfield. Swans new manager Carlos Carvalhal just took charge of the team and it is still unclear what system he would employ.Carvalhal will have a winger or a creative midfielder on his list as a top target. He would also try to get the best out of the players like Renato Sanches and Jordan Ayew which Carvalhal has on his list.Needed - Creative Striker, Winger or Attacking Midfielder.#19 West Bromwich AlbionAlan Pardew knows he needs to add players to the team list to fire West Brom out of the relegation Zone. The former Crystal Palace manager does not have a single win to his name and has blamed the lack of attacking power of the team for this.Baggies fans will still remember 2005 when Kevin Campbell and Kieran Richardson came in January to inspire the Great Escape. This time Alan Pardew will look out for a creative attacker to solve the goal scoring dilemma at the club. Liverpool's Danny Ings who is available on loan will be on top Pardew shopping list for January.Manchester City and Arsenal are keen on Baggies Center Back Jonny Evans, Padrew has warded of any interest on the centre back but a sizable offer could see the Irish leaving the club. Howe was successful in signing Nathan Ake from Chelsea in the summer but will try to add another centre back if he is planning to carry on with the 3-4-3 formation.Howe will also be encouraged to go back to his summer target Dujon Sterling, who can be used both on the right and the left side of the defence. He can be a useful cover for Adam Smith on the right and replace Brad Smith and Tyrone Mings who are out for some time.Howe will also try to hold on Harry Arter who is a West Ham target.
