EPL : King Kenny's First Win in his second homecoming

Kenny Daglish wait for his first victory in Liverpool colors is over. His smiles were for everyone to see when Torres scored his 2^nd goal of the game.

Liverpool came up with a clinical game to thrash Wolves 3 goals to none. Liverpool had only won once away from Anfield this season. They wanted to change these stats. They looked hungry for a win.

The match against Wolves showed that they are a threat if they jell together as a unit. They played a different game all together where the midfield was very high up the pitch and made wolves passing movement difficult. Torres was pumped up from the start. He was threading passes, running for the ball, and holding defense too. The absence of Gerrard was hardly felt, all thanks to Mereiles.

Their 1^st half performance was superb. Hence, they were leading 1 nil in the break, owing to a superb run by Merieles and a soft touch by Torres to open the score sheet. Once they scored there was a spring of confidence in their stride. They outmuscled their opposition. The Wolves defense was in all sorts of trouble.

The 2^nd half changed the game all together. Wolves came out with all guns blazing. The ball was played in the Liverpool half for majority of the second half. The Kop defense was up to the mark. Agger and Skrytel were aware of the incoming danger. They were strong in the air as well as in ground. It was tough to break the defense down, which was so easy during Hodgson days. Times have changed, it was eminent.

When Liverpool moved up the pitch they looked dangerous. Mereiles scored a perfect copy book goal, which is very difficult to execute, a long range volley. Meireles looked ominous in front of goal when ever he got a chance to move forward . On the other hand, Wolves were looking to beat Reina, but they were not successful. It was either the Liverpool defense was too strong or Wolves were unlucky. The 3^rd goal scored by Torres sealed the 2^nd three points away from Anfield.

The return of Kenny Daglish has really inspired these bunch of Liverpool players. They have really come on their own. Torres is looking great, Meireles has looked a different player, Kelly along with the bak four has impressed. There is lots of positivity to look forward at Liverpool football club. Their new owners must be happier to see Daglish handling the team in such a good fashion. He might be the right person to bring the Liverpool days back.

The fans are all in support of Daglish. They want him to be a permanent manager. Steven Gerrard has also voiced in support of Daglish as a future manager. Daglish knows it best what is expected of him by the owners and his fans. He has already been successful with Liverpool in his playing days. His winning mentality is sure to play a vital part in the remainder of the season.

Kenny needs to instill confidence in his team which is capable of greater things. The victory against wolves could act as a much needed inoculation to bolster these players.
