5. Ricky Van Wolfswinkel vs Everton:
The Dutchman, only a new signing for Norwich justified his selection with a spectacular header after an even more spectacular jump. Whittaker sliced a left-footed volley into the danger area from the right and Van Wolfswinkel rose above Phil Jagielka to head the ball into the top corner of the net about which their was nothing the goalkeeper could have done.
4. Daniel Sturridge vs Stoke City:
The very first goal of the premier league and it was a perfect display of team play. Two quick one touch passes from the half line into Daniel Sturridge’s left foot and from outside the penalty box he fires a lightning fast kick through Robert Huth’s legs and past the helpless Begovic into the left corner of the goal. Great finish.
3.Danny Welbeck vs Swansea:
The Manchester United striker goal was the icing on the cake in the match that the Devils scored four times. An excellent through ball from Rooney saw Welbeck open with just a charging goalkeeper and a defender who came too late. Cool as a cucumber, a delightful chip shot from him saw the ball sailing over the goalkeeper head into the far left corner of the goal.
2. Robbie van Persie vs Swansea:
A close range strike but that was hit with some power. The goalkeeper was a mute spectator to the shot . Perfectly taken on the chest, this one was hit from above his head in a amazing display of athleticism. This goal speaks of the quality Manchester United are capable of, something which has eluded them this season so far.
1. Frank Lampard vs Hull City:
A jaw dropping free kick and this has it all to be one of the best goals this season. From 30 yards apart, a beautiful curling strike soaring above the defenders and going away from the Hull City keeper into the top right corner of the goal. There was no stopping that and the celebration by the Chelsea veteran was only too mild compared to the quality of the goal.
