Lyon star Nabil Fekir has split up from his agent Jean-Pierre Bernes. The Frenchman almost joined Liverpool last summer but the move broke down at the very last minute.

Since then, it was reported that the relationship between the two had turned sour, so much that the pair had not even been on speaking terms in the last few months.

Bernes confirmed that the two have split and that the Frenchman will now look for a new agent. He cited “difference of opinion” as the reason for their split.

“I terminated the contract on [Thursday],” he said.

“It was a choice [Fekir] took. He will certainly look for another agent.

“Like all human relationships, from time to time you can have a difference of opinion on someone’s future or their behaviour.”

The Lyon star had been linked with Chelsea recently.
