The standard of football played around the world have been improving by leaps and bound. Some of the most watched domestic leagues around the world are the La Liga (Spain), English premier League (EPL), Serie A (Italy), Bundesliga(Germany), Ligue 1 (France) etc.
Out of these, the two most viewed are the La Liga(Spain) and the Epl (England) for its sheer variety, flair and energy that it inhabits. It is also very popular among the masses throughout the globe. It would be very unjust for us to come into a common conclusion and decide, which of it is better in terms of the quality of football. If we are to go by its viewership then, Epl tops the chart. But viewership alone cannot determine the success of the league. It is the clubs and the players associated with the league that can establish its accomplishment.
For a neutral viewer the Epl seems to be more pleasing to an eye as it is comparatively faster and aggressive, though the Football pundits applauds the technical sound game of the la liga. The current players plying their trade in the la Liga are Kaka, Ronaldo, Alonso, Xavi, Llorente, Messi just to name a few. These players would not have played in the la liga if the quality was not up to the mark. Some players who play in the EPL are Torrres, Gerrard, Tevez, Cole, Gyan etc.
These players have proved their class and they can play and perform in any league around the world, but they stick to what they think is best for them. All the players mentioned above from the la liga and the Epl have stamped their authority in the international scenario. As a matter of fact it would be very callous for us to decide which of the league is better just by mere players representation.
Many a people have questioned the clubs that play in each of the league and say it’s far more competitive in the Epl than the La liga. The La liga has been dominated far too long by Barcelona and Real Madrid. It is either of the two teams who win the coveted title and everyone has accepted this fact. On the other hand we always have different title holders in different seasons, thus emphasizing its strong competition that is being faced by top Epl clubs (Manchester United, Chelsea, Man city, Liverpool, Arsenal). There is a never a dull week in the Epl because there are bottom ranked teams who give top teams a run for their money and defeat them all hands down. It is a very rare sight in the La liga where a top team is being beaten by a lower ranked team. The race for the Epl title is a neck to neck finish between the top teams’ not just two clubs as in the La liga.
When it comes to Champions League, a cut throat competition between top European sides, the la liga and the Epl teams are always omnipresent in the final stages of the competition. They are in fact the most feared rivals in the competition. The Epl and the La liga teams are always tagged as favourites and they stand true to it. Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona have won this prestigious title many a times. It stands testimony to the fact that the Epl and the La liga are in a par with one another. Some football fans will surely accept it with a pinch of salt.
