Former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o has re-opened his fight with fellow Cameroon International Alex Song by saying that the midfielder does not even count among the best players of Cameroon – let alone the world.
The duo have had a strained relationship in the past, after Song refused to shake hands with Samuel Eto’o ahead of an African Cup of Nations qualifier against Senegal last year.
Song was then reportedly fined £1,200 by Cameroon FA for the incident.
The pair had appeared to haev buried the hatchet but Eto’o brought it all up again after his reply to the question whether there was a rift between the “two stars”.
Eto’o replied to Canal Plus‘s question with the following words:
“We are not involved in a conflict between two star players,”
“I am among the best players in the world and Song is not even among the best players in Cameroon.”
