#3 Gareth Bale
The Welshman has made a great impact in his first international tournament and has inspired Wales to the quarter-finals where they now face a tough Belgium side who have found their form after a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Italy in their tournament opener. The Real Madrid player has scored three goals in the tournament so far with the first two being free-kicks. He also set up Wales’ winner against Northern Ireland in the Round of 16 as his delivery was turned in by Gareth McAuley into his own net.
With Belgium up next, Wales are bound to face their most difficult challenge in the tournament as the Belgians were in terrific form in their Round of 16 game against Hungary whom they thrashed 4-0. The Wales-Belgium match will arguably be the most anticipated match of the quarter-finals and Bale will have to be at the top of his game if Wales are to make it to the semi-finals of a major tournament for the first time in their footballing history.
