ParaguayParaguay0:1SpainSpain

Semi-finals

UruguayUruguay2:3NetherlandsNetherlands

These are the matches that mattered the most and the Argentines and the Brazilians all failed to deliver, only Uruguay could get through but were again beaten convincingly by a superior European power.

World Cup 2010: Brazil and Dunga cannot be saved by off-form Kaka

The sad

Result: South America 0 – 4 Europe

Everyone was hoping for a dream Argentina and Brazil final, but as it panned out none of the teams made it even to the semi-finals, instead we saw European dominance at it’s best. South Americans were only good enough to beat weaker European teams such as Slovakia, Switzerland but when they came up against the likes of Spain and Netherlands there passing and physical game did not match upto the fast paced one touch European style soccer.

VERDICT

After years of see-saw game,Europe will be able to grab back to back World Cup come Sunday and so the World Cup count will be :

South America 9 – 10 Europe
