Everton unveiled Irish international Aiden McGeady as their latest transfer after completing a permanent move from the Russian club Spartak Moscow.
The Irish forward was presented to the crowd at Goodison Park just before their EPL match against Norwich City and he was greeted warmly by the Toffees’ home support.
McGeady completed his medical at the Finch Farm training base on Saturday morning before penning down a four-and-a-half year contract.
The striker was expected to be a free transfer for Everton in the summer transfer window, but Roberto Martinez was able to clinch a cut-price deal with the Moscow club in order to bolster his attacking options. The transfer was completed at an undisclosed fee and the Irish international is expected to be available for the away trip against West Brom on January 20.
