Liverpool face Everton in the Merseyside Derby on Sunday at Goodison Lark on the back of a thumping 5-0 win against Watford. This is a must-win game for the Reds as they look to sustain the pole position in the Premier League table with Manchester City breathing down their necks.
Liverpool have quite a few players on the injury list as Dejan Lovern, Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are still out with injuries. Roberto Firmino also remains doubtful. Jurgen Klopp tweaked his formation a bit in the last game and it would be interesting to see what he does on Sunday.
Here's how Liverpool could lineup against Everton on Sunday:
Goalkeeper: Alisson Becker
Alisson kept a clean sheet against Watford in Liverpool's previous Premier League fixture. He didn't have much to do in the last match, but he would have to be at the top his game against Everton.
Left-back: Andrew Robertson
Robertson was brilliant against Watford and gave two assists for Liverpool's third and fifth goal. The Scottish international would be looking to continue his good form.
Centre backs: Virgil Van Dijk and Joel Matip
Matip and Van Dijk have looked solid together so far. Van Dijk even scored two goals against Watford. The duo have formed a good partnership together and Jurgen Klopp wouldn't want to change it.
Right-back: Trent Alexander-Arnold
Trent Alexander-Arnold enjoyed one of the best games of his career, attacking wise, against Watford. He gave 3 assists on the day and looked in sublime form. He would want to continue that against Everton as he looks to seal his position as the first choice right back of Liverpool.
Midfield: Gini Wijnaldum (RCM)
Gini Wijnaldum is an automatic selection into Jurgen Klopp's side as he brings enormous energy to this Liverpool side. He was again brilliant against Watford and he would like to continue his great form against Everton.
Fabinho (CDM)
Fabinho has started to look a brilliant signing now. He has been performing consistently for the last two months now and has succeeded in overtaking Jordan Henderson as Liverpool's first choice holding midfielder. Expect the Brazilian to make the Liverpool engine tick against their fellow Merseysiders.
Naby Keita (LCM)
Naby Keita hasn't started for the last two Premier League fixtures now and Jurgen Klopp would be looking to rest James Milner against the Toffees. Naby would also be a more attacking option to James Milner and Keita will have another shot at impressing Klopp.
Forwards: Divock Origi(LW)
Divock Origi played through the left last time out and looked comfortable. He is again expected to start as Roberto Firmino is still out with an injury. He scored against Watford and would love to score vs Everton.
Sadio Mane(ST)
Sadio Mane started up front last time out against Watford and scored two goals. Mane looked very comfortable in the striker position. He is again expected to start as a striker and would like his form to continue against Everton.
Mohamed Salah(RW)
Mohamed Salah had a brilliant all-round game against Watford, but he didn't score any goal which he would feel hard done by. Salah would like to return to his goalscoring best against the Toffees as the race for the title heats up.
