“Every time I see them, they have less fat, more muscle” – When Al-Nassr nutritionist explained Cristiano Ronaldo's influence on teammates

Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer to Al-Nassr, valued at a jaw-dropping £175m a year, has electrified the club from top to bottom, Notably, the legendary forward made a quick impact on his teammates soon after he joined up, according to the club's nutritionist Jose Blesa.

Currently occupying the third position in the Saudi Pro League, Al-Nassr has been lifted by Ronaldo's scintillating form. The Portuguese ace has netted 12 goals and provided six assists in just as many games across all competitions. However, their strong form could be due to how much the legendary forward has influenced his teammates so far.

In February 2023, Spanish nutritionist Jose Blesa shared some captivating insights on how the 38-year-old's influence had transformed the squad. In an interview with Spanish outlet Ideal, Blesa said (via Daily Mail):

"I was uncertain, like everyone else, about what it was going to be like to work with him and if the club was going to change a lot, but I haven't found a more professional footballer than him. He is the first to arrive at training and the last to leave."

According to Blesa, Cristiano Ronaldo's high standards have drawn in his teammates:

"Cristiano helps me a lot, because we can no longer teach him anything, but he creates a school around him. The rest of the players do what he does because everything he does is wonderful to improve his performance," he added.

The result was a change in the team's training ethos and dietary habits. Blesa continued:

"Since he has been here, all the players have trained more intensely and followed a stricter diet. I have not seen a club like this in which the players improve practically 90 per cent in their body composition. Every time I see them, they have less fat, more muscle and they do all the exercises at their fingertips. It is a luxury to work there."
