Newly appointed Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas is prepared to make an offer for Manchester United starlet Ezekiel Fryers. The young and promising left fullback, who managed to make two Premier League appearances for Manchester United last campaign, was out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of June.
Despite being rated a future Manchester United star, Ezekiel Fryers has failed to agree to an extension to his contract at Old Trafford. A product of Manchester United´s prolific youth team, the Manchester born youngster has been at Old Trafford since his school days and made his senior debut for The Manchester Reds in a creditable 3–0 triumph over Football League Championship side Leeds United at Elland Road in the Football League Cup Third Round in September 2011. The increasingly wayward England U19 international defender could now follow his fellow Manchester United Youth Academy product Ravel Morrison out of Old Trafford.
Sir Alex Ferguson: “We haven’t heard anything from Ezekiel Fryers. I don’t know what’s happening there but he’s not been in touch with the club. His agent hasn’t been in touch with the club and I can only assume he’ll be back for training.”
