#2 Pogba sparkles
United started with a 4-4-2 formation with Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford up front, but it often became a 4-5-1, as Lukaku played as a right winger at times. United’s midfield lacked width on the odd occasion, as neither Juan Mata nor Paul Pogba is a wide player.
However, both their goals came through crosses from the flanks. Pogba was directly involved in both the goals. He veered into the left flank to deliver a peach of a cross to an advancing Ander Herrera, who nodded in for the opener.
United's second goal was a result of Pogba's great understanding with Rashford. He played a pass to the advancing Rashford in the right wing, and then ran into the penalty box to meet the latter’s cross for United’s second goal.
Pogba now has 13 goals and 8 assists this season, and has truly come into his own after the departure of Jose Mourinho.
