Monaco goalkeeper Danijel Subasic said today in a statement to the Croatian press that his club has almost reached an agreement with respect to the transfer of Atletico striker Radamel Falcao.
“I’ll tell you what I’ve heard, Falcao is almost 90% a Monaco player now. Within a few days, he should appear in Monte Carlo and officially become our player,” said Subasic to Croatian sports daily Sportske Novosti.
“Sure, that is what they have told us, with a small limitation that Monaco could only stop him from signing for Real Madrid, but that now is unlikely. If you do not leave to the Bernabeu, come to Monaco“ he said.
The goalkeeper also indicated that the club owner, Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, has announced major investments in Monaco, and wants to spend big in order to reach the pinnacle of European football.
“After we have secured entry into the first league in France, has said it is only the beginning of the most important stage for us. His plan is to bring a maximum of five or six players solid players, ” Subasic said, without specifying who could move to Monaco. But he said that the owner’s investment in the club would be about 100 million euros.
