In what may be described as a bizarre case of fan frenzy, a fan of Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has tattooed an image of the champion lifting the trophy, on to his bottom.
William Hirons, who hails from Hereford, sent a tweet to Andy Murray two days before the final wherein he is reported to have promised to get his face inked if the Scot managed to beat world number one Novak Djokovic.

Hirons’ tweet after Murray’s victory reads: “@andy_murray what a tennis player, your face will be tattooed on my a** #wimbledon2013 #champion.”
He even posted an image of the tattoo the following day and tweeted: “@andy_murray I told you I was having you tattooed pal.”
Murray is the first British male to win the Wimbledon in the open era.
He beat Novak Djokovic in straight sets to end Great Britain’s 77 year wait.
