#5 Diego Costa – £10.1m
The Spaniard has been Chelsea’s best performer till now in an otherwise lacklustre start for Antonio Conte’s team. The forward is the current top scorer in the league with six goals and has also come up with two assists.
Premier League defences have had a tough time dealing with Costa and the fixture against Arsenal was the only one where the striker was involved in neither a goal nor an assist.
Costa’s deadly finishing and the desire to score goals is a wonderful asset for Chelsea, who would have been in deep trouble if not for him. He’s brilliant at hassling and causing discomfort to defenders and this makes him a menace to defend against.
The former Atletico Madrid man’s rich vein of form is required if Chelsea want to mount a serious title challenge. Leicester City don’t seem to be the same team from last season and you can be sure that Costa will play a big part in that game.
