Fantasy Premier League scout - Gameweek 2

The likes of Coutinho would greatly benefit your squad

Last year’s title challengers Chelsea and Manchester City face off in what will be the most glamorous tie of Gameweek 2. Liverpool are handed a plum home tie against newcomers Bournemouth, elsewhere Arsenal and Manchester United have tough away games against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa respectively. Also, Southampton and Tottenham host Everton and Stoke City respectively as we cast an eye on the must-have players for fantasy premier league Gameweek 2.

Phillipe Coutinho - The Brazilian, priced at a modest 8.0 is the heart and soul of Liverpool’s attack and is in great form. Coutinho’s stunner against Stoke City earned him 10 points in game week 1 and as Liverpool is given a home tie against newcomers Bournemouth on Monday night, the Brazilian is surely a must have in your team.

Dimitri Payet - The Frenchman was a star performer against Arsenal in West Ham’s season opener at the Emirates. Priced at a modest 7.5, Payet was at the center of all things as West Ham battered Arsenal at home. His assist for Kouyate’s goal was sublime and a home tie against Leicester could well be the stage for him to open his account in the Premier League.

Nathaniel Clyne - Liverpool kept a clean sheet against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday and with the fact that they host Bournemouth at Anfield, it looks very likely that they will keep another one in Gameweek 2. Clyne, priced at 5.5 is certainly a must have defender as not only can he score points from clean sheets but also from assists with Benteke in the box.

Yohan Cabaye - Cabaye marked his Premier League debut with a goal against Norwich City and looks in great form already. The Frenchman, priced at just 6.5 scored 10 points in game week 1 and although Palace face Arsenal at home in Gameweek 2, Selhurst Park has always been a tough place for the Premier League’s elite. Arsenal were undone by West Ham at the Emirates on Sunday and look very shaky at the back which means Cabaye would be licking his lips.

Raheem Sterling - Manchester City host Chelsea on Sunday in the most glamorous tie of Gameweek 2. Chelsea were all over the place against Swansea in their Premier League opener as the ageing legs of John Terry, Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanovic could not deal with the speed and energy of Martin Montoya. Sterling, priced at 9.0 is an upgrade over Montoya in terms of speed and trickery and Ivanovic could have a time dealing with him. Surrounded by much better talent around him than at Liverpool, Sterling is a must have in your team for Gameweek 2.
