Nine more weeks to go in this year's Premier League season and nine more chances for fantasy managers to climb up the rankings. The mouth-watering clash between Manchester United and Liverpool stands out this week and an equally important battle in the bottom-half takes place as Newcastle host Southampton.
Before we look at this week's differentials, let's look at how last week's picks fared:
- Riyad Mahrez- 10 points
- Romelu Lukaku- 8 points
- Sadio Mane- 8 points
- Andrew Robertson- 6 points
- Xherdan Shaqiri- 2 points
So without further ado, here are the 5 players who can score big this week:
#5 Cesar Azpilicueta vs Crystal Palace (H)
Although he is owned by 20.5% managers, Azpilicueta's name is worth mentioning because he is ever-present in Chelsea's defence. They are at home to Crystal Palace this week, a side to whom they lost earlier this campaign, and will be looking for revenge.
Furthermore, they need to win to get back on track in the race for a top-four finish following consecutive losses to the Manchester clubs.
He has missed only one match this season and has a goal and six assists to his name. A clean sheet is on the cards and more points are likely as he often puts in some very good crosses. He also tends to collect bonus points whenever Chelsea keep a clean sheet.
#4 Theo Walcott vs Brighton (H)
The Englishman caused quite a stir when he left Arsenal after 12 years. He has started the last six games for Everton and has chipped in with two goals and an assist.
Despite the small numbers, Walcott regularly gets decent chances that he should be putting away, and we are due a major return. The Toffees are at home to Brighton which looks a tasty fixture to transfer in Walcott, who is currently owned only by only 5.7% of the participating managers.
#3 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang vs Watford (H)
Arsenal's record signing makes the cut as they play Watford at the Emirates on Sunday. They will be looking for a response after three consecutive losses in the league.
Aubameyang has two goals to his name so far and has been the centre-forward since his move to London. He is owned by a mere 4.4% managers and Arsenal will be looking to turn on the style this weekend. Expect the Gabonese international to play his part.
#2 Willian vs Crystal Palace (H)
Another Chelsea player makes the list and this time it is Brazilian star, Willian. He seems to have earned himself a starting position in the Chelsea XI and is a man in form.
He has five goals and seven assists this campaign and will be looking to add to that tally when Palace visit Chelsea on Saturday.
Owned by just 10.1% of the participating managers, Willian is also on set piece duty for the Blues, and is valued at only £6.9m. He could be an excellent differential.
#1 Riyad Mahrez vs West Brom (A)
Last week's top pick keeps his place as Mahrez continues to perform and is still owned by only 9.0% managers.
The winger equalised in injury time through a free kick last week and will be in full confidence as they visit West Brom on Saturday.
West Brom have kept only one clean sheet in their last nine games, and there is every chance that Mahrez can cause them problems and offer us, managers, a solution.
