When you think of the fastest players in the Premier League, the name of Eden Hazard, Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott come to mind. However, all of them fail to make the top 10 of the list. It’s Newcastle United’s Moussa Sissoko, who takes the crown of being Premier League’s fastest player so far.
The highly rated midfielder has been linked with a move to PSG as his contract is yet to be renewed by the Magpies. On-loan Crystal Palace midfielder, Wilfried Zaha comes in a close second, just 0.1 km/hr, behind him.
Marcin Wasilewski of Leicester City is tied for third with Stewart Downing from West Ham United, registering top speeds of 35.1 km/hr. Rounding out the top five is Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling, who ran at 35 km/hr in a game against QPR.
Diego Costa sneaks into the top 10 for Chelsea, registering a top speed of 34.8 km/hr against Liverpool. Manchester United’s Luke Shaw came in at number 18 with a top speed of 34.2 km/hr.
