FC Barcelona want James Rodriguez next summer
The Catalans are reportedly preparing a master plan to rope in a Real Madrid player next summer. According to Don Balon, FC Barcelona have always been attracted towards the prospect of signing James Rodriguez, and want to sign him in the summer of 2019.
The Barcelona management believe that if the Colombian signs for Bayern Munich for €42 million this summer, they can swoop in for the player with a huge offer in the next summer transfer window. Munich see Rodriguez as an investment and will have no issues to sell him.
In an interview with the Player Tribune, Pique recently told Rodriguez,
"I've always said that you have Barça DNA for your style of play, where you would be more than welcome"
It is hence clear that the charm offensive from the Barcelona players have already begun to complete this gigantic move.
Real Madrid begin talks with Juan Quintero
Another report from Don Balon states that Real Madrid are interested in Colombian international Juan Quintero and are willing to make a move for the playmaker this summer. It is reported that Real are pursuing a move for Quintero at Julen Lopetugui's behest.
Lopetegui managed Quintero at FC Porto and is now eyeing a reunion with him at the Bernabeu. The World Cup star joined River Plate last December and hence will cost Real Madrid a huge sum.
