New twist in Nabil Fekir transfer saga

Lyon to offer a new contract to Nabil Fekir

In order to fend off interest from Liverpool and Real Madrid, Lyon are preparing a bumper new deal to make Nabil Fekir stay. It is believed that the 24 year-old is open to the idea of staying at the club for one more season after seeing his dream move to Liverpool cool off.

Club president Jean-Michel Aulas told Le Parisien,

"I told Fekir that if he wanted to stay, we could extend. I had said before that we did not need to sell. We have the means to keep him"

Athletic Bilbao target Yuri Berchiche

Goal understands that Athletic Bilbao are negotiating with PSG over the transfer of left-back Yuri Berchiche. Personal terms have already been agreed upon, whereas PSG are wishing to receive around €20 million for the fullback. Thomas Tuchel has given the go-ahead to the transfer as the club looks to raise funds in compliance with FFP regulations.
