FC Barcelona increase the pace of landing Thiago Alcantara
Antoine Griezmann's transfer blow has alerted FC Barcelona to restructure their transfer targets and start the work in acquiring them. According to Don Balon, Barcelona have now decided to go all out in their pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara as an alternative plan for Griezmann.
Philippe Coutinho is now expected to play in an attacking role leaving the club space to sign a creative midfielder. Thiago is top of Barcelona's list and is also the favourite for a number of the club's senior figures. The Catalans are preparing a €60 million + Lucas Digne offer to bring the Spaniard back to Camp Nou.
