Shanghai SIPG deny having an interest in Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben
After reports had emerged about the Chinese club having an interest in the Bayern Munich duo, the club's technical director Mads Davidsen has denied the story having any truth in it.
Davidsen quipped in a rather arrogant way, "Why should a Chinese club sign a 33 or 34-year-old when they can get 27-year-old stars like Axel Witsel or Alex Teixeira or Oscar at 25? Ribery and Robben have missed the chance if they had wanted to play in China. We no longer want these players."
Liverpool have ended their interest in Naby Keita
Trusted sources close to the Reds have suggested that the Merseyside club have called off their pursuit of Naby Keita. After making three bids with the highest being at £70 million, the Reds have learnt the hard way that Red Bull Leipzig are not ready to leave Keita at any cost.
Jurgen Klopp is expected to go for the Guinean next summer with the 22-year-old having a release clause of £48 million in the summer of 2018.
