Indian Super League franchise FC Pune City have announced the signing of experienced Indian international defender Gouramangi Moirangthem Singh for the 2015/16 season of the ISL.
Earlier this year Gouramangi had joined Bharat FC on loan from Indian Super League side Chennaiyin FC for whom he played a stellar role in 11 matches in defence, not only in his usual centre-back position, but also as a wing-back during the inaugural ISL.
The former Tata Football Academy cadet, who has played for all junior and senior national teams, started off his professional career with Dempo SC in 2005 before going on to sign for Mahindra United and Sporting Clube de Goa; but he had his breakthrough in 2007 with Churchill Brothers SC, for whom he played five years and won both the I-League and Federation Cup titles.
Thereafter Gouramangi joined Prayag United SC before signing for the IMG-Reliance players pools in 2013 and then went to Rangdajied United FC on loan.
Meanwhile FC Pune City also formally announced that they would retain five Indian players in Arindam Bhattacharya, Dharmaraj Ravanan, Lenny Rodrigues, Manish Maithani and Israil Gurung for the second edition of the Indian Super League.
