Indian Super League franchise FC Pune City have signed Englishman James Joseph Bailey to bolster their midfielder ahead of the ISL - Season 2. The 26-year-old Bollington-born James Joseph Bailey played in his youth for Crewe Alexandra FC.
In 2007, he made it into Crewe's first team, who were then an English League One club. He would stay with Crewe for three seasons in their ups and downs.
In 2010, he left Crewe to join Championship side Derby County FC, where he would impress in the first couple of seasons with even Premier League clubs showing interest in him, but injuries thereafter forced him to spend most of the 2012/13 season with struggling Coventry City FC on loan before he returned to Derby County for a final season.
James Bailey spend the 2014/15 season with League One side Barnsley FC, a regular feature in the team but he was released at the end of the season and has now been convinced by FC Pune City manager David Platt to move to India for the ISL - Season 2.
FC Pune City recently announced the signing of former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu and former Tottenham midfielder Didier Zokora. FC Pune City announced the signing through their Twitter account.
