England manager Roy Hodgson has recalled Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand to the international fold, as he was included in the England squad which will be facing San Marino and Montenegro in the World Cup qualifiers.
The squad has also seen recalls for fellow Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick, who has been in stellar form this season, and West Brom’s goalkeeper Ben Foster, another player who previously played for the Red Devils and only recently reversed his decision to retire from international football.
Spurs’ defender Michael Dawson‘s good form of late has seen his name included in the squad as well.
