Turkish club Bursaspor have opened talks with Anton Ferdinand about a potential loan move for the QPR defender. Ferdinand does not seem to be in Harry Redknapp’s first team plans in his efforts to rescue the Hoops from relegation.
The centre-back was one of the first signings at Loftus Road after the Rangers earned promotion in 2011, but now looks likely to join ex-England goalie Scott Carson at the Turkish club.
Ferdinand grabbed headlines in recent times when he became the target of racial abuse from Chelsea skipper John Terry in October 2011, for which the ex-England skipper was banned for four matches and fined £220,000.
With Ferdinand to be allowed to leave and Ryan Nelson set to retire, it will make the last few days of the transfer window interesting, as Harry Redknapp will be up to his old tricks in the transfer market in his efforts to sign some reinforcements in the face of these two departures.
