FIFA 14 - Juventus - Best formation

On default, Fifa 14 Juventus best formation is shown as the traditional 3-5-2, with their entire defense line resting on the shoulders of their three center backs. On default, the first team includes Buffon at the goal line with Chiellini, Ogbonna and Barzagli as the three center backs. In the mid field, we have Pirlo as the defensive mid and Vidal and Marchisio as Center Mids. Lichtsteiner plays on the right wing as a right mid and Asamoah plays as his counterpart on the left side. The two strikers are Tevez and Vucinic. All in all, it’s a strong formation with a lot of bodies put in the mid field.

Juventus, however, in this formation, is not built for speed. Most of their players do not have pace and the team benefits more from accurate passing and a slow buildup rather than playing counter attacks.

Another formation Juventus can use, if you don’t want to crowd the mid-field but rather play down the wings and in the corners wud be to play 4-3-3 with a right and a left striker playing behind a center forward. Buffon can remain between the posts. Lichtsteiner can move back and play as right back, with Chiellini and Barzagli as center backs and Martin Caceres as the left full back. The close knit mid field can remain the same with the trio of Pirlo, Vidal and Marchisio. Up front, we can use two quick strikers like Tevez and Giovinco and centre forward could be Vucinic who could also be replaced by Llorente.

This formation can be a strong counter for wing play and does not allow the defense to stretch. Also on the attack, mid-fielders like Pirlo and Vidal can use their long ball skills to drop balls at the three marauding strikers up front.
