The runners-up in the previous season of the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund, had a good start under manager Thomas Tuchel and will want to carry on the good performance for the 2016/17 season.
Even though star players like IIkay Gundogan and Henrikh Mkhitaryan left the club during the transfer season, Dortmund still has a bunch of talented players on their team.
The latest edition of the celebrated and populated FIFA game franchise is to be released at the end of this month,
Here are their official FIFA 17 ratings for Borussia Dormund.
Mikel Merino (Overall 75):
The 20-year-old has already played over 60 matches for Club Atletico Osasuna (who are currently competing in the La Liga) and has been brought to Dortmund this year by manager Thomas Tuchel.
Merino receives an improved rating of 75 (from 70 in FIFA 16) in FIFA 17. The Spanish midfielder can rise to a potential overall of 86 in the career mode of FIFA 17.
Ousmane Dembele (Overall 77):
Dembele is one of the best young talents available in FIFA 17 and has been rated 77. Aged just 19 years, the French forward can rise to a potential overall of 90 in the career mode of FIFA 17.
The 19-year-old has made 26 appearances for the French domestic club, Stade Rennais, in the previous season and will be looking to improve himself playing for Dortmund from this season onwards.
Julian Weigl (Overall 79):
The German defensive midfielder made over 25 appearances for Dortmund in the previous season and receives a much-improved rating of 79 in FIFA 17 (from 75 in FIFA 16).
The 21-year-old can rise to a potential overall of 86 in FIFA 17 and will also be expected to play an important role in the midfield for Dortmund this season.
Mario Gotze (Overall 84):
Mario Gotze returned to Dortmund this year after joining Bayern Munich 3 years ago. The attacking midfielder has been rated 84 in FIFA 17 (same as in FIFA 16).
The German player has been rated 89 for dribbling, 78 for passing, 70 for pace and power. With the hope of regular starts at Dortmund, Gotze is expected to unleash his true potential under Thomas Tuchel.
Sokratis (Overall 84):
The Greek centre-back receives a rating of 84 of in FIFA 17 (from 83 in FIFA 16), after some solid performances in the previous season. Sokratis receives 85 for his defending abilities, 83 for physicality, and 78 for pace.
The 28-year-old will have to step up in the defence for Dortmund after the departure of Mats Hummels to Bayern Munich.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Overall 86):
Aubameyang scored 40 goals in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund in the previous season and has been rated at 86 (from 84 in FIFA 16).
The 27-year-old Gabonese forward receives 96 for pace (highest in FIFA 17), 84 for shooting, 80 for dribbling, 75 for pace, and 71 for physicality.
Marco Reus (Overall 88):
Marco Reus is the highest rated player from Borussia Dortmund in FIFA 17 with an overall of 88. The 27-year-old German winger has been rated 90 for pace, 86 for dribbling, 85 for shooting, and 84 for passing. Reus was rated 86 in FIFA 16 and receives a much-needed improvement in FIFA 17.
