FIFA 17 ratings battle: Best XI from Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1

La Liga XI

La Liga XI comprises of players from both Madrid clubs and Barcelona

Goalkeeper

Jan Oblak – 87

Atletico Madrid’s incredible defence last season didn’t go unnoticed and their young goalkeeper, Jan Oblak, had a big role in that. The youngster has got a rating upgrade of +6 from FIFA 16.

Defenders

Dani Carvajal – 83

Dani Carvajal has been given an upgrade from 81 to 83 in FIFA 17 and deservedly so. His 82 pace and 81 defending are very good attributes for a full-back and considering his age, he will be a popular player in the career mode.

Sergio Ramos – 89

Ramos is the highest rated defender in La Liga and the second highest defender in the game behind Jerome Boateng. He has 87 defending and 83 physicality in the game and that will make it very difficult to beat the player.

Diego Godin – 88

When Sergio Ramos, Jerome Boateng and Thiago Silva have a better rating than Diego Godin in FIFA 17, questions needs to be raised. The Uruguayan tremendous throughout the 2015-16 season and only gets an upgrade to 88 from 85.

Jordi Alba – 86

Jordi Alba is one of the best full-backs in the world right now, but after a underwhelming season last time around where he struggled for fitness and form, he still gets a rating of 86.

Midfielders

Luka Modric – 89

Luke Modric is the highest rated midfielder in the game and why not? The Croatian has been unbelievably good for both club and country for a while now and has been rewarded with a +2 upgrade.

Andres Iniesta – 88

Andres Iniesta has been one of the best players in FIFA for a while now but this time around he misses out from the top 10 players and also loses the best midfielder spot to Luka Modric. Nevertheless, a rating of 88 is still wonderful for such a wonderful player.

Toni Kroos – 88

Real Madrid’s success last season had to do a lot with the performance of both Modric and Kroos as they dictated play with ease. Like Modric, Kroos has also received an upgrade in this edition.

Forwards

Lionel Messi – 93

Lionel Messi’s FIFA 17 rating does not change from his rating in FIFA 16 and there is not much to complain over that as the rating is terrific for such a terrific player. However, this time, he has lost his place as the best player in the game.

Luis Suarez – 92

Luis Suarez was arguably the best player in Europe last season and hence his rating of 92 needs no justification. His 90 shot and 87 dribbling will make him a terrific forward to play with

Cristiano Ronaldo – 94

Meet the highest rated player in FIFA 17 – Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese star was rated behind Messi in many previous FIFA editions but that has changed as soon as Messi was discontinued as the brand ambassador for the game.
